Agree with doug_the_dude re: the bird song, let it grow, eyes triptych really anchoring this show. It's superb. Re: Eyes, he's also right: "it's awesome, completely soothing, confident, mellowwwww...." But I see the second set in a similar light. It's mellow, to be sure, but I don't think it's "sleepy" or that it "limps." The Black Peter in the second set ballad slot is an all-timer, I'd say top 5, maybe top 10 version. I think I even prefer elder Jerry on this tune than the younger, more sprightly Jerry. As Peter Wendel puts it, it's a "POWERHOUSE! One of the few versions from the ’90s to break into the top-10. Garcia’s rough-and-weathered vocals are just exactly perfect – brimming with soulful emotion. This one smolders, crackles and then explodes, ultimately releasing us into the sun-splattered stratosphere." First set has range and depth: lot of rock, blues, folk and psychedelia. Last, re: sound: While I like this aud mix, go for the Healy SBD.

One of the channels is phase-inverted on this one, which is why the stereo sounds kind of weird. It's an easy fix, and one will be posted shortly.

sonically satisfying. band sounds best in second set--jerry's timing and attack in the first set are a bit off but he delivers a smooth birdsong---then just phones it in on let it grow! natch!

While I realize other nights were better on the whole, the 26th is a must hear for the Blow Away. This was the only time I saw Brent stand and sing. He goes off.

and the recording is one of my *reference* shows. the soundstage is so big...deep, tall, wide...its sick.
eyes > sampson !!! I could listen to this pair of songs for eternity.
*edit*
CDW, you need to seriously re-invest in your stereo. I've got a fat reference system, and believe me man, this recording is awesome. It sounds "like its going through pillows" because your system can't reproduce whats there.

They took their time and delivered a strong show this night.I actually got stung by a bee FOB at this show.I never even saw a bee in Albany in march and it was really cold. How strange ! I saw all 3 shows here and the 3 at Nassau Coliseum, and this was probably the most consistant 6 shows I ever saw in a row!

I saw all 3 Knick shows in 90, and still think this night is the best of the three. The 2nd set is laid back and nuanced (how about that word!). Jerry holds back on the riffs more this night, and instead adds just the right amount of great playing. Weir is in fine form.
Classic 1990 Eyes.

i am just streaming this show. listening for the first time in over 15 years and i got chills as i remember what it felt as we all realized that the 2nd opener was eyes. Sweet and slow like a good ol' 70's version. This show was amazing and is a little overshadowed by the previous night, plus the awesome Copp's shows just prior. This show is seemsless and perfect in so many ways. Great set list, well played and very intense. Highlights for me are the Bird Song> Let it grow closer. I remember walking behind stage as the let it grow wound down with the purple lights enveloping the band, stunning. donÃÂt' forget the Trucking with a sublime spoonful into drums even ubiquitous Black Peter was beautiful and poignant as I had about 30+ friends etc. staying with me in my 1 bedroom apt. about 3 blocks from the arenaÃÂ.ÃÂand my friends they come aroundÃÂÃÂ Why they didnÃÂt put any of this on Dozin I will never understand but this recording is right onÃÂthanks Ted. 5 star show with a 5 star aud. recording.

I was supposed to be at the first 2 shows, but thanks to an economic mess my eldest son put me in I had to decline and only made it to the last show. I've got the "Dozin'" set and had tapes of these shows but lost 'em somewhere. Nice to listen to the auds again and hear the whole shows...my favorite GDTRFB of all time on this one.

I would love to find 3/26 here. The Second set shouldn't be blocked by GDM as none of it was used on "Dozin'". Absolutely loved this show for many reasons obvious to all. The second set was completely transformational. Between Victim and China Jerry muddled around in a vernal pool lookin around for a metamorphosis--he found it!!
Anybody know why there was a Boa constrictor at Jerry's feet this night? Psylociben or not, I swear it was there!!

No sound issues in my download. Awesome sounding audience recording. Nice bass, balance and overall nice ambience. Good performance by the band at a time when it was at it's peak!
